[SEXcerpt] In an Octopus' Garden - Song of the Siren: Futanari Loves Octogirl 2

I'm about 13k words into the second octogirl book, called Song of the Siren: Futanari Loves Octogirl 2. Until I published Enthralled, my futanari vampire tale, In the Arms of Love: Futanari Loves Octogirl 1 was my most popular book. People loved the strange, beautiful and HOT romance that blossomed between Jaelyn the futanari and Liana the octogirl.

If you read the first book, you may have idly wondered what would happen next to them?

I guarantee you will not see coming what happens.

I can't even give you much in the way of snippets because nearly everything is a spoiler. But I can give you a couple paragraphs out of context.

SEXcerpt

Jaelyn reached out to a bank of blue-green glowing tubular structures that grew out of the grotto’s wall. Each tube ended in a little spray of crystalline filaments, and the tip of each filament was lit by a dot of light. They swayed slowly even though there was no breeze. She touched it and all the filaments sucked back into the glowing tubes. The light of the tubes rippled and flickered, like the glowing coals of a blue fire, and then faded.

“Wow...” Jaelyn whispered reverently. Liana glided up behind her and encircled her in her arms. She leaned her head upon the back of Jaelyn’s shoulder and kissed her there through the wet fabric of her hoodie. She reached under her hoodie, cupping and squeezing Jaelyn’s breasts and sighing.

“We can come here whenever we want and no one will ever be able to find us. We can cry out as loud as we please and no one will hear."

[Review] Queen of Swords: Villainess Book 1, by Alana Melos

Review for Queen of Swords: Villainess 1, by Alana Melos

Description

Meet Caprice, better known as the villainess Capricious Whim....

Caprice is a woman who works hard and plays hard. She's a veteran villain of Imperial City, and what you might call a 'maladjusted individual'. While she plots to achieve her own goals, she's forced to take whatever jobs may come along, and any unintended consequences from them!

The heroes don't always win in this world, but being a villain has its own unique set of problems.

Excerpt

The building we were set to raid stood had five stories, but only the first floor was above ground. That could make things interesting as our target was on the very bottom floor, and even though my teke was pretty strong, it wasn’t strong enough to punch through metal. I brought Sadowski into our mental link--with his permission--so we didn’t have to use any sort of mundane communications. Are you ready? he asked us.

I sent an affirmative, and Michael held up a hand, indicating for us to wait a second. I turned to watch his transformation in the dim light, and had the pleasure of feeling it second hand in his mind as well. It took no concentration at all, but rather a relaxing of a certain vigilance he kept in his head. His body shape didn’t change, but the skin changed color, going from that beautiful dark skin to a tan, then a pale brown, then to white, then to bone white. Every vein and wrinkle was highlighted in that stark white, giving him an eerie, otherworldly, look. Every tooth in his mouth grew and sharpened into fangs. His eyes glowed softly in the dim light, a very dark red which you could barely see at all. Lastly, claws grew from his fingertips, elongated nails which could scratch stone.

His mind… that was a trip. Michael receded from me with a last mental wink and saucy nod, and coldness filtered in. I had been linked with Nos before, and the coldness startled me every time. Age… unthinkable amounts of time lay heavy on his mind, giving his mental landscape an alien feeling. As Nosferatu’s eyes raked me from head to toe in a once over, I could feel a lust for me, but it wasn’t like Michael’s lust, hot and red and passionate and thick like a pulsating heart. This lust was cold and dry, a brief curiosity about how much pain I could take before I died, wondering how much blood he could wring out of me, thinking of all the delicious things he could do to me to make me scream and beg to be killed.

I shivered, and sent to him telepathically, Try it. Try it and see. I couldn’t help my own lust at the challenge, and the thought of the cold dead body underneath mine turned me on like nobody’s business. Here, of course, is where being an empath and a telepath worked against me sometimes: I couldn’t tell if that desire came from me, or from him. That second it was the same, a perfect circle of sadism, wanting to see how much the other would take before they broke, and not just break, but break completely. I wanted to snap his bones and suck out the marrow. I wanted to lick his heart while it was still beating. I wanted to squeeze his head and pop his eyes out of his skull. I wanted to snap his fingers off, one by one. And I wanted to fuck him, hard, getting every last bit of juice out of him….

See what I mean? I knew some of those thoughts weren’t mine. We struggled back and forth for a heartbeat in a mental tug-of-war, two vicious personalities clashing for the dominance we both knew we deserved. Harry was shoved out of the link, and he looked at us as we became locked in a staredown. Another heartbeat passed, and we both mutually agreed to back off. There was no conversation, no verbal or telepathic agreement… we just knew we were a match for each other. A perfect match.... he sent, sensing my thoughts.

My Review

So if you read the excerpt above you can see why I would like this book:
  • Hot badass female main character with a strong personality that makes for a decent first person narrator.
  • Mixing sex and violence together makes my dick hard.
Caprice is more than just "maladjusted." She's fucking psycho, and I love it. If she didn't create and abide by a strict set of rules for herself, she would rapidly end up dead, probably after taking as many people as possible with her.

She has superhuman powers, as do many of the characters in this story. Almost too many powers that are too strong: telekinesis and telepathy strong enough to invade people minds and control them or to even fly and dismember people with the power of her mind. The one check against all this power is that it drains her really fast. What I'd like to see is her endangering herself and others more through her craziness. She's more calculating than her name, Capricious, would suggest.

The story, plot, and setting here are really good. I likes me some mixing of technology and magic and Queen of Swords has that. One of the best scenes in the book, both for the sex and for the magic, is what happens when Caprice visits Alistair the mage.

The sex in Queen of Swords is very well done. The scenes are long enough for you to get your jollies if that's what you're after, but they're not overburdened with excessive detail that loses you. If you like femdom, you will really like most of what's in this story. I'm not even into femdom, but the final scene was super-hot. And that's before it gets violent.

Also: THAT COVER ART, YO. That is some good shit right there.

Quick Update and SNEEK PEEK: Song of the Siren: Futanari Loves Octogirl 2

After what seemed like forever writing Enthralled, today I have begun the second octogirl book. In the Arms of Love: Futanari Meets Octogirl has so far been the best-selling book out of everything I've written. The reviews of it have been positive and people have expressed to me they're keen to know what happens with Jaelyn and Liana.

So you'll be pleased to hear I've begun writing the second book. In fact, I think I'll tease you with the first few lines from it.

Keep in mind this is rough and unedited, subject to change before publication. It picks up right where book 1 left off, due to the shocking news Jaelyn learned right at the end of her session with Dr. Carerra.

--------------------------------

Jaelyn snuggled up tightly against Liana’s bosom and sighed deeply. Liana coiled her tentacles about Jaelyn more snugly and rocked her back and forth. Jaelyn’s cock and every hole in her body was raw and sensitive from what Dr. Carerra had just put her through. Conflicting thoughts and emotions flashed randomly through the clouds of Jaelyn’s mind like heat lightning.

Liana trembled, her tentacles quivered around Jaelyn and pulled her in even more tightly. The only time Jaelyn had seen her tentacles quake like that was when she climaxed, but this was something else entirely, something bad. A quiet and strange sob slipped from Liana’s white lips and was borne away on the sea breeze.

Jaelyn looked up to her face to see it screwed up into gnarled grimace. The chromatophores in her skin washed her face with dark patterns and her tentacles turned from dark purple to an ochre-splotched black.

“I know you’re trying to be forgiving and understanding,” said Jaelyn, “but I don’t see how you can be after seeing into me. I’m sorry. I’ll just... I’ll just go.” Knowing Liana could read her thoughts, she couldn’t really hide anything from her. She did what she did to try and preserve their love and had betrayed it anyway in the process. Dr. Carerra, in a jealous rage, had coerced her into directing her own infidelity against Liana. And as much as Jaelyn now hated Dr. Carerra...

She had enjoyed it. She had felt the echoes of what could have been between her and Ilsa Carerra had she not fallen in love with, of all things, an octogirl. But she did fall in love with an octogirl. And now she had ruined that, too. Each relationship had ruined the other and she was the reason for it.

When she moved to try and extricate herself from Liana’s coils, however, Liana wouldn’t let her go.

“Liana, you can’t seriously still love me. Plus, you’re in danger. Somehow they know about you and they’re coming.”

Liana unscrewed her face and opened her eyes, first her outer eyelids and then the clear diagonal ones. Despite herself Jaelyn couldn’t help but be transfixed by Liana’s eyes, which were glossy black with irises of sea green. Her pupils were slitted like a cat’s. Liana fixed those ethereal eyes on Jaelyn’s blue ones. She looked sad, tired. Jaelyn blinked and flinched in shame before her gaze.

“You’re so fucking stupid, Jaelyn,” said Liana.

“What!?”

Instead of answering, Liana unwrapped some of her tentacles from around Jaelyn and rose to walking height. She carried Jaelyn like a package. Moving faster than Jaelyn had yet seen, Liana swished down to the edge of the shore in a whirl of coiling tentacles.

“Liana, what are you doing? Oh my God, I’m sorry! Please!” Jaelyn writhed against her living bindings but could not loosen them. The cold waters of the Atlantic shocked her as they sprayed up around Liana’s tentacles.

With a scream from her strange vocal chords, Liana leaned back and hurled Jaelyn into the ocean.

[Review] The Breed: Casstiel's Vow, by Alice K. Wayne

Description

After the brutal kidnapping of her brother, Tessa Roberts, a human born with the ability to read other human minds, plunges herself into the dark and mysterious world of the Breed, hell bent on finding him. What she encounters however, is far more than she bargained for. Vampires and werewolves are one race known as the Breed, and are locked in a centuries old war against vicious human Hunters. With the help of Casstiel, the fierce leader of the Breed's defense team who carries a fiery passion for her, can she find her brother before the war erupts on their doorstep? Or will lies and betrayals end the new life she's forged for herself, along with the lives of everyone she loves?

My Review

We want to read books that have an interesting story with engaging characters and hot sex. The Breed: Casstiel's Vow, by Alice K. Wayne, has all three. There's an all-important fourth element as well when you're dealing with the paranormal, too: world-building.

It's not easy to put your own twist on the classic vampire tale, but Alice has created something with depth and its own internally consistent rules around which she can build a series of engaging and steamy tales. In her world, there are humans and there are the Breed. The Breed consists of both vampires and werewolves. Alice treats it more like genetics than dark magic. It is a more than merely passable backdrop to the relationships and the sex, it is the basis for the entire story.

Into this well-crafted lore and setting she drops characters that have a good twist on the expected tropes. Tessa is the shy loner who dresses like a frump but is secretly beautiful. Sounds standard, right? But she actually has a really damn good reason: she can read minds. Being with people and trying to have a social life is a fucking nightmare of betrayal and sadness for her. To always know when people are lying to you or are thinking depraved thoughts about you would make anyone want to not be around people.

The main characters all have interesting backstories that get revealed as the story progresses. At first I had a lot of questions about things but was rewarded with interesting answers later on that totally fit the world Alice created and which further helped defined the characters.

The sex does not define this story. The story could just have easily been written to be less steamy and it still would've been great. However, the sex scenes are pretty damn hot. I only wish the language were less cliched (every fiber of her being, a thousand volts of electricity, rushed through her like a freight train, etc.).

Despite that, the scenes are still good because the characterization is so good. Tessa is just absolutely fucking adorably hot in her inexperience and desire. Casstiel's self-control in the face of his ravenous lust is palpable. The characters are all very different from each other and it shows in how they love and fuck, too. When Nora gets frisky in one scene (I can't say more without spoiling it) she's nothing like Tessa.

Nothing drags in this story, it moves right along. The sex is hot. The writing is tight and efficient. The combat scenes are passable. Elite soldiers would be using something much better than M-16s, but otherwise the gear and tactics were accurate and not distracting.

Other than cliched language, the other noticeable fault in this book is the grammar errors. Notably there was incorrect use of apostrophes and lack of hyphenation where it should be. For example, it's not open mouthed, it's open-mouthed. A couple times there were tense or pronoun mix-ups that made for a confusing sentence there and there. This is not a deal-breaker for me.

There are still some questions I want answers on in future books. Like how do Tessa's and Remy's "gifts" fit in with everything else. It would seem inevitable that Tessa becomes a vampire, too, so I'm looking forward to that.

[Review] 1001 Erotic Nights, by Alana Melos

Description

An erotic retelling of the classic, 1001 Arabian Nights....

When the Sultan finds his wife in the arms of another man, he executes her, beginning a brutal domination of the virgin women in his kingdom. Only beautiful, wanton, and wise Scheherazade knows how to stop his wicked ways... by turning the tables on him and dominating the Sultan.

This erotic novella is for mature audiences and contains m/f, ffm menage, voyeurism & masturbation, bdsm (bondage, domination, submission of both femdom and maledom varieties), and is 34,000+ words, jam-packed full of hot erotic tales.

Excerpt

The princess did as he commanded, keeping her ass high in the air while she put her face to the carpeted ground. When Aladdin struck her the first time with the reed lightly, she yelped, but managed to stay still. The lash stung her rear in quite a different way than his hand. The pain felt more intense, but concentrated in a single spot. He lashed her with three more strokes, each a little harder than the last. When she thought he was done, she felt the reed stroking her exposed cunt slowly, teasingly, and she couldn’t help but to whimper, trying to stay still. Her pussy overflowed with her juices as her master teased her with the lash, giving her enough sensation to heighten her arousal, but not nearly enough to make her come, which she began to want desperately.

‘Do you like that, slave?’ he asked her.

‘Yes, Master,’ she said. She wanted to beg for more, but didn’t dare.

‘If you do good work with the sand, I may allow you to come,’ he said. ‘Would you like that?’

‘Yes, Master!’ Dunyazad exclaimed, eager for that. She wanted to feel a man’s cock in her virgin pussy, to know what it was like. She had masturbated many times before, and used her women servants to pleasure her, but a man… that would be a different experience indeed!

 My Review

1001 Erotic Nights by Alana Melos is an erotic version of the classic tale of Scheherazade attempting to keep her head by beguiling the sultan with stories. In this case, though, the stories are all highly erotic versions of the classics you've heard before, such as Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and Aladdin.

It's a long book but because it's filled with individual stories, it doesn't seem that long. You can just read each story individually if that's more your style. There are a few errors in it, especially towards the end. They brought me out of the story as I read but otherwise no big deal. Erotica in general tends to be looser than other genres: authors write, give it a quick once-over and then publish it.

Where this book really shines is in the tone and the language. It reads like it was written and translated long ago, and yet it's not hard to read in the slightest. And it's consistent like this throughout. As an author, myself, I found this to be very impressive. She makes concessions for the modern words we use when describing sex in erotica, like clit, cunt, pussy, and so forth, but Alana makes it all fit together nicely.

Each individual story is well-told, and as they progress they escalate appropriately in terms of the sex and the submission elements. Scheherazade is doing more than simply telling titillating tales in order to keep the sultan from separating her head from her shoulders. She's educating him in dominance and submission, and her final story and lesson provide the entire book with a terrific ending, which of course I won't spoil for you.

I think it's worth noting too that the cover for this book is excellent. I see so many erotica books with shitty covers that make my eyes throw up.

I know there are a lot of dirty retellings of fairy tales and so forth, but the attention to detail, the care, and the heat level of 1001 Erotic Nights sets this one apart from the rest.
